Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information TallyHaul ("we", "us") collects when you use our trucking business management and recordkeeping platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your email address and password, your company name and business details (such as DOT/MC number if you enter one), contact and emergency contacts you add, and your language preference.
Business records you enter. Loads, invoices, expenses, trucks, miles, fuel costs, detention and layover details, nights-away log entries, broker notes, compliance due dates, and referral activity — everything you type into or record in the app.
Documents you upload. Receipts, proof-of-delivery photos, and business documents such as licenses, medical cards, and insurance papers.
Billing information. Your subscription plan and status, billing period dates, and the number of trucks billed. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Connected ELD data (optional). If you connect your own ELD provider account (such as Motive) on a plan that includes ELD activity, we read activity data such as miles and driving hours, and store the connection's authorization securely on our servers. Connection credentials are never exposed to your browser or to other accounts.
Notification preferences and consent. Which reminder emails you enable, the email address we send them to, and — if you turn on text message reminders — your phone number and the date and time you gave consent (and, if you opt out, when you did).
2. How we use your information
- To operate your account and the Service: storing and showing your records, documents, calculations, and exports.
- To manage your subscription: processing payments, tracking trial and billing status, and adjusting billed truck counts.
- To send notification emails you enable: weekly recaps built from your own records, payment reminders, and compliance-date alerts.
- To provide support when you contact us.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal or business information. We do not use your business records for advertising.
3. Who can see your data
Your business records are private to your account. Database-level security rules restrict every record — loads, expenses, documents, compliance dates, uploaded files — to your signed-in account only. Other TallyHaul accounts cannot view or change your data.
4. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the Service: a cloud hosting and database provider (application and data hosting), a payment processor (Stripe) for subscriptions, an email delivery provider for notification emails, and, when you choose to connect one, your ELD provider. These providers process information only on our behalf to deliver the Service.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your records stay in your account while it is active, including during a read-only period after a trial ends. When you delete your account, we delete your business records and documents. Some billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can export your data at any time — tax records as CSV downloads and invoices as PDFs — before deleting your account.
6. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-based authentication, database-level access rules scoped to your account, and secure storage for uploaded documents. ELD connection credentials are encrypted on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please also keep your password safe.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use essential local storage only to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Your choices
- Update your profile, contact, and notification settings any time in Settings.
- Emails: every reminder email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can turn each reminder type off in Settings. Account and sign-in emails (such as password resets) are still sent.
- Text messages: we only send texts after you turn them on and agree in Settings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or turn texts off in Settings. Consent to texts is never a condition of using the Service, and we do not sell or share your phone number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
- Disconnect your ELD provider at any time from the ELD activity screen.
- Cancel your subscription at any time from the billing screen.
- Email us at info@zonastak.com to request a copy or deletion of your data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify active account holders by email or in-app notice.
